RIO Olympics 2016 : Still Hopes For The Medal From PV Sindhu

Indian people was thinking that everything is over in this year’s Olympics but PV Sindhu brought back all the faith after his win over London Olympic silver medalist and world’s second-ranked badminton player Yihan Wang. PV Sindhu qualifies for the semi-finals against Japanese player Nozomi Okuhara on Wednesday.


She shared her feelings after the match and said”This is Rio Olympics, it’s a very different feeling. It’s one of the best moments. I hope there will be much more to come,”. After Saina Nehwal, she is the second woman badminton player to reach Olympics top four.

She also shared what was the pressure before the match and how she handle that pressure. Sindhu also said, “I was just thinking about the game. If you play really well you will automatically win the game and a medal. I’m just focused on my match and the next match, the semis (against Okuhara). I hope I can give my best.”

All Indians are praising her success and wishing all the best for her next semi-final match against Nozomi Okuhara. Sindhu has 1-3 win and loss record against her. She was defeated by Nozomi by three consecutive times. So psychologically Sindhu is under pressure for her match. But the way Sindhu beat down Yihan, she will definitely gain good confidence for her next match. In this semi-final, we are going see tough competition between these two rivals.
