BCB recently announced the Bangladesh squad for New Zealand tour which is scheduled to take place on 26th December 2016. Bangladesh’s star bowler Mustafizur Rahman will return for this upcoming big series. The 21-year-old left-arm pacer is fit to play and recovered from the shoulder injury which happened during Twenty20 Blast tournament playing for English county team Sussex.
Mustafizur played his last international match at the T20 World Cup and missed the recently held home series against Afghanistan and England. He is now all set to play against New Zealand for three ODIs, three T20s and two Tests.
Bangladesh will play three one-day internationals, two Tests and two Twenty20 internationals in New Zealand from 26 December to 24 January. Apart from Mustafizur, the selectors give the chance to uncapped Tanveer Haider who recently performed well in the warmup match, Ebadat Hossain, and Nazmul Hossain Shanto, and Subashis Roy.
Ebadat is a pace bowler while Shanto is a young talented batsman who was also the part of Bangladesh’s 2016 Under-19 World Cup and Subashis is a good first class fast bowler. Rubel Hossain, Nasir Hossain, Al-Amin Hossain, Kamrul Islam Rabbi and Mosharraf Hossain are not included in the squad.
