Bangladesh failed to exploit a century opening between Tamim Iqbal (59) and Imrul Kayes (44) and scored 236 for nine in their 50 overs. New Zealand never looked in trouble while chasing the target and won the match comfortably.

The skipper Kane Williamson and previous match hero Tom Latham tried to make partnership but they went out on 14 and 24 runs respectively. But Neil Broom not out 109 runs inning helped the team to reach 251 runs.
The target was not huge but Bangladesh lost their first wicket in 30 runs and the next one fell for 105 runs. Bangladesh were once in a comfortable position but sudden fall of wickets result in a 67-run defeat. Bangladesh middle order fully collapsed as they were 105-2 and went all out on 184-10. New Zealand might not have expected so easy win after scoring 251 runs in today’s cricket world.
