There is a massive blow for Gujarat Lions fans as one of their key player Dwayne Bravo has been ruled out of the IPL 2017 due to the hamstring. This is the massive blow for the side who is already struggling in this season so far. They have failed to win matches on the regular interval and the main reason for this inconsistency is their poor bowling performance. They are currently at the last position in the points table. They have only managed to win a couple of games in the 7 games that have played so far in this season.

West Indian All-rounder Dwayne Bravo has been ruled out of this season after he failed to recover from the hamstring injury that he suffered in the Big Bash league earlier this season. He has not played in any matches in this season because of the injury but Gujarat fans were hoping that he would recover soon and will play for the side.

Dwayne Bravo ruled out of IPL

Bravo is one of the key players for the side as he can hit lusty blows right at the end of the inning and also bowls very well in the death overs. Dwayne Bravo id one of the most experienced players in the t20 league. He has played this game in many different countries and knows well how to handle the pressure.

Just before the match against KXIP, captain Suresh Raina said,”Yes, Dwayne is ruled out of the tournament. He had been doing all the rehab but just couldn’t take the heat. Would need another few weeks to get ready. We need to have a chat with the management and see who could be the replacement.”

Gujarat Lions has been struggling to find the good allrounder that could bowl in the death overs. The death over bowling is the major concern for the Gujarat Lions fans. They generally used to concede a lot in the last overs that tend to put a lot of pressure on the batting unit. If they had Bravo in their lineup then he would have helped in the batting lineup and also in the death bowling. Bravo is the one bowlers that could be dangerous with his change up deliveries which are very difficult to pick. He has also won Purple can with Chennai Super Kings.

Now, it remains to be seen with whom they replace Bravo in the side. But, one thing is for sure that they need some good death bowlers in their squad if they are going to go further in his competition.
