Cricketers are not really supposed to be the most intelligent or the most educated of people.  The simple reason being that they do not need to be. All cricketers need is good playing acumen and cricketing brain. But as Indians were are always quite inquisitive about academics. Sachin, GOD of cricket failing in 10th exams is a story we Indians grew up hearing. So let us throw some light on our cricketing stars, whose life we idolise. Mahendra Singh Dhoni

The man from Ranchi has achieved it all on the cricketing field but his academic credentials leave a lot to be desired. He has an undergraduate degree and has done Bachelors in Commerce.

Rahul Dravid

He never does anything prematurely. Mr Dependable and the wall of Indian cricket team has a good educational profile too. His management skills seem to come from his graduation course that he did. He has got an MBA degree from St. Josephs College.

Anil Kumble

Another man from Bangalore, Jumbo was not only a king on the field but even outside. He has done engineering from one of the top institutes RV College.

Shikar Dhawan

Gabbar on the field could not find his feet in the educational field. He has studied till 12th.

V.V.S. Laxman

Belonging to a family of doctors Laxam too was forced into medical. Though to the good luck of this nation, Laxam dropped himself out of the college and pursued his passion, Cricket.

Saurav Ganguly

Dada on the field was also a dada off the field. He did his graduation from the top college in Kolkata St. Xavier’s.
