ICC Under-19 World Cup 2018 Schedule, Time Table, Fixtures & Teams

ICC has announced the ICC under-19 World Cup 2018 schedule and full match fixtures which is scheduled to be held in New Zealand. The Under-19 cricket world cup will be a 22-day tournament, begins on January 13 and will conclude on February 3 with the final match. The tournament to be held across four different cities of New Zealand – Christchurch, Queenstown, Tauranga and Whangarei.

The opening match is set to take place between defending champions West Indies and host New Zealand in a Group A at the Bay Oval in Tauranga. The three more matches will be played on the first day including Pakistan vs Afghanistan, Zimbabwe vs Papua New Guinean and Bangladesh vs Namibia. ICC Under-19 World Cup 2018 Schedule

A total of 16 teams qualified to take part in the tournament and all the teams were divided into four groups of four teams each. Group A  includes West Indies, South Africa, New Zealand and Kenya. Former champions India along with Zimbabwe, PNG and Australia are in Group B. Bangladesh, England, Namibia and Canada are in Group C. Sri Lanka, Pakistan, Afghanistan and Ireland feature in Group D.

As per the ICC under-19 World Cup 2018 schedule, semifinals will be played at Hagley Oval in Christchurch on 29 and 30 January while final in Tauranga on 3 February. The top two teams from each group will go to the Super League after the end of group stage while the rest of the teams will play in the plate championship.

The ICC has confirmed that only 20 games out of the 44 matches will be broadcasted live on television which includes mostly knockout matches. Star Sports network is the official broadcaster of the 2018 under-19 World Cup.
