India Beat Australia to Win Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2-1

India has beaten Australia by 8 wickets in the last match of the four-match series to regain the Border-Gavaskar trophy. India performed brilliantly in the entire match and did not give any chance for Aussies to come back in the match. With this win, they have wrapped up the home season with an exciting 2-1 win over the mighty Aussies.

Australia won the toss again in the match and decided to bat first. They batted beautifully until young Kuldeep arrived on the stage. He ripped the Aussies batting line by picking up 4 wickets in his debut test match. The Aussies were bowled out for just 300 runs in their first inning.

India batted beautifully and most of the batsman chipped in with small total but neither converted their start into a big score. It was the brilliant knock by Jadeja that gave India a vital lead of 32 runs over the Aussies as India were bowled out for 332 runs in their first inning.

Aussies did not start well in the second inning as they lost three of their top batsman withing 30 runs. Indian bowlers never looked back after that and they copied picking up wickets at the regular interval. As a result of the brilliant bowling display by the Indian quick and spin bowlers, India managed to restrict the Aussies to a mere score of 137. It was total bowling exhibition by the Indian fast bowlers and the job was finished by the spin bowlers.

India got the target of 106 runs which they easily managed to get past with the loss of 2 wickets. Indian players dominated the match so much that Aussies lost the match on the first session of the fourth day.

It is a very crucial win for the Indian side as they were criticised in the series for not performing up to the expectation in the home condition. Aussies put up a massive show against Indias and they could be very proud of their performance in the series. It is never easy to beat the number one side in the world n their home condition but they did give a tough fight to the Indian players.

With this win over the Aussies India finishes their wonderful home season. They could be very proud of their performance in this home season. There were many records broken this season and many new players emerged on the scene. All and all it was a brilliant performance by each player of the side as everyone gave their 100 percent in the match.
