India vs England 4th Test: Twitterati hail India’s Historic win at Wankhede

The Day 5 of the fourth Test end with a historic win against English team at Wankhede in Mumbai. India defeats England by an innings and 36 runs to clinch the fourth Test match and series with a 3-0 lead in India vs England five-match Test series. The Wankhede crowd witnessed some exciting and dominated cricket from team India.

Ravichandran Ashwin showed another brilliant performance against England. English batsmen once again were struggling against Ashwin who took six wickets in the 2nd innings and claimed total 12 wickets in the 4th Test match. He went to grab his seventh 10-wicket-haul and 24th five-wicket haul in just 43 Test matches.

He first took the wicket of well going Jonny Bairstow in front of the stumps and then took Chris Woakes for a duck. Ashwin didn’t stop with 10-wickets haul but went ahead and grab wickets of Adil Rashid and James Anderson. Ashwin has a chance to break the record of legendary India bowler Anil Kumble who took 10 or more wickets eight times in a Test cricket.

England collapsed while chasing the difficult lead of 231 in the second innings and despite Joe Root and Jonny Bairstow half centuries, England went all out for 195 and lost the third successive match against host India. Team India’s skipper Virat Kohli was awarded Man of the Match for his brilliant 235-run inning.
