India vs England 2nd ODI Highlights

India won the second One-Day International (ODI) cricket match against England at the Barabati Stadium, Cuttack. The match winning centuries from two of most talented players of India, Yuvraj Singh and Mahendra Singh Dhoni helped India to defeat English side by 15 runs in a high voltage game.

The English skipper won the toss and elected to bowl first. Only one changes made in the Indian team, Bhuvneshwar Kumar comes in for Umesh. Indian opening pair once again failed to give a good start to the team and India were on 25/3.

But the vintage pair of Yuvraj and Dhoni displayed outstanding batting to help India recover from top order collapse. The two veterans put the stunning 256-run partnership with Yuvraj making 150 while Dhoni scored 134 to post a massive total of 381/6 in their 50 overs.

In reply to India’s massive target, England started pretty well with Jason Roy and Joe Root, the top two batsmen of the side scoring half-centuries. But they both failed to convert it into hundred. Roy was looking good but went out on 88 runs.

Indian spinners, R Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja bowled really well for India and picked four wickets in the middle overs. English skipper, Eoin Morgan tried hard to finish the match after the early dismissal of Ben Stokes and Jos Buttler but unfortunate run out in the 2nd last over also ended the England hope to win the match. Bhuvneshwar Kumar was outstanding in death overs.
