IPL 2017 Highlights, MI Vs KKR: Mumbai beat Kolkata by 4 wickets

In the second match of super Sunday, Mumbai Indians beat Kolkata Knight Riders by four wickets. The match was well fought by both the side but it was the brilliant late knock by Hardik Pandya that saw Mumbai picking up all the points from the game. Mumbai started the game under pressure as they had already lost their opening game. The match started with Rohit Sharma winning the toss and deciding to bowl first. This was a good decision after seeing the batting from KKR in the previous match. The match started well for Mumbai Indians bowler as they managed to get rid of the Kolkata captain Gautam Gambhir quickly.

Soon after this they also got the wicket of Robbin Utthapa in the same over which put a lot of pressure on Chirs Lynn on the other end. He did look dangerous and hit some big sixes in his short inning. He was dismissed on 32. Kolkata was under huge pressure as they were loosing wicket at the regular interval.

But it was Manish Pandey who stood at the other end and kept hitting boundaries and sixes. He made a brilliant 81 to save the day for KKR. It was because of his brilliant batting that Kolkata managed to put 178 on board.

When Mumbai came out to chase there was a lot’s of pressure on them as they were up against one of the best bowling attack in the IPL. Mumbai started the inning on the positive note as both Parthiv and Buttler played some good shot to give a good start to Mumbai. But soon they were dismissed and the wickets kept falling at one end after that.

It was Nitish Rana for Mumbai Indians that made a brilliant half century to give some hope for his fans. The wickets kept falling at one end which did not help the cause of Mumbai Indians. But soon came the savior in the form of Hardik Pandya. He was in brilliant form as he played brilliantly in the last match also. When he arrived Mumbai needed quick runs and he did the same. He made a quick 29 of just 11 balls that sealed the match for Mumbai Indians.
