IPL 2017, MI vs SRH Highlights: Mumbai beat Hyderabad by 4 wickets

Mumbai Indians have finally stopped the winning run of the defending champion Sunrisers Hyderabad. Mumbai beat Sunrises by four wickets in the 10th match of the Indian Premier League. This is back to back victory for the Mumbai side after losing their first game of this edition. They have really bounced back in style after losing in the first game against Pune.

On the other hand, this is the first loss for the defending champions Sunrisers Hyderabad. This loss will motivate them to do well in the future games and sometimes it’s better to loose in the initial stage of the tournament rather than in the later stages.

The match started with Mumbai Indians captain Rohit Sharma winning the toss and electing to field first. The Sunrises made a brilliant start in the match as they did not lose any wickets in the start. They were cruising along in the match and it looked like that they will put a huge total on the board but that did not happen.

As soon as Sunrisers lost the wicket of Shikhar Dhawan and David Warner, the team lost its way. All the other batsman failed to score any bid total to help their side post the big total on the board. The credit must go to the Mumbai bowlers who did not allow Sunrises batsman to score freely in their inning. Sunrisers finished their inning on 158-8.

When Mumbai came to chase, their openers looked confident right from the start as they looked to dominate the bowling attack. Sunrisers were counting on ‘Fizz’ to give some solidity to the bowling attack but he went for 19 runs in his very first over that put a lot of pressure on the other bowlers. Although, Rashid Khan did bowl well and got the important wicket of Rohit Sharma but the other batsman were scoring freely from the other end.

The star batsman for Mumbai was Parthiv Patel and Nitish Rana who scored the runs freely in the starting phase of the match which removed the pressure from the Mumbai side. Rana made the brilliant 45 with handy contribution from Krunal Pandya and Parthiv Patel. The team chased the total of 158 in just 18.4 overs. The man of the match was Mumbai’s star bowler Jasprit Bhumrah

The man of the match was Mumbai’s star bowler Jasprit Bhumrah who bowled brilliantly to restrict Sunrisers from posting a huge total on the board. He also picked three crucial wickets at the end which helped his side win the match.

This was the second win for Mumbai side and now they look well settled in the tournament. They have already shown the other teams that they are very dangerous side. On the other hand, Sunrisers now need to analyse and decide their best combination that would help them win the next match against KKR. You can watch complete match highlights video on Hotstar.
