Indian Premier League is a long tournament and the beauty lies in its unpredictability. It is difficult to predict who will win IPL 2017 before the start of the league but we would make a prediction based on their strength and players past performance.
IPL 2017 Predictions: Who Will Win IPL 10?
This year Delhi Daredevils has spent intelligently to build a strong team to get rid of their past season’s performance. They always have good players in the squad but they failed to play as a team. They never won the Indian Premier League and even not reached final once. The team has many quality players like Quinton de Kock, Zaheer Khan, JP Duminy, Carlos Brathwaite and newly bought Kagiso Rabada and Corey Anderson but they need to gel as a team to win IPL. There is a huge role for DD’s mentor Rahul Dravid to play in the team. But looking at their past record, there is less hope that they will win.
Kolkata Knight Riders:
KKR are one of the balanced team in IPL 2017. Their opening batsman Rabon Uthappa and Gautam Gambhir always provide good partnership to the team. They have some talented players such as Manish Pandey, Trent Boult, Chris Woakes, Nathan Coulter-Nile, Rovman Powell, Surya Kumar Yadav, Yusuf Pathan and Sunil Narine. But it is difficult to put money on them sometimes they get collapsed.
The defending champions of the season, Sunriser Hyderabad played brilliantly in last season. They have solid balanced side under the captaincy of David Warner who likes to lead the team from the front. Mustafizur Rahman, Shikhar Dhawan, Kane Willaimson and Yuvraj Singh play important role in the team. Newly added Mohammad Nabi and Chris Jordan is expected to make team more strong. They are a strong contender to defend their title this season.
Kings XI Punjab:
Kings XI Punjab is the most inconsistent team in the IPL. Despite quality players in their side such as Glenn Maxwell, David Mille and Shaun Marsh, the team failed to leave their mark in previous editions. They always remained at the bottom of the points table. We have to wait and see whether Eoin Morgan, Martin Guptill and Darren Sammy can improve side performance in IPL 2017 or not.
The team who loves to put themselves in a difficult situation and then comes out of successfully. There is no douht that they are one of the well-balanced side in the IPL 2017. Mumbai Indians have won two titles under the leadership of Rohit Sharma. The team has fire powers like Keiron Pollard, Hardik Pandya and Jos Buttler as well as good pace attack in form of Mitchell Johnson, Lasith Malinga, Tim Southee and Mitchell McClenghan. This year too, they have what needs to win IPL.
Gujarat Lions playing their second season but they have impressive everyone with their performance in last season. The teams have key players like Suresh Raina who also lead the team, Aaron Finch, Ravindra Jadeja , Brendon McCullum, Dwayne Bravo and T20 specialist Dwayne Smith. The team’s batting looking very strong on paper and GL have pretty good chance to win the 10th edition of IPL.
Rising Pune Supergiants
Pune would not have expected to start their IPL journey like the way they performed in a previous season. Dhoni who was skipper of the team failed to convert the team into performance. Steve Smith will now leas the team this year and he will hope to do well this season. Apart from Faf du Plessis, Mitchell Marsh and Usman Khawaja, all eyes will be on most expensive player Ben Stokes who bought for a whopping Rs 14.50 crore.
Royal Challengers Bangalore
Batting Powerhouse Royal Challengers Bangalore have some of the best players in their team. Virat Kohli, Chris Gayle, AB de Villiers and Sahne Watson are all big players and can destroy any bowling lineup in the world. But it is surprising that team has not won single IPL title so far. Despite some heavyweights, the team failed to perform at the cruch moment. But still, RCB is favourite to win the IPL 2017.
