IPL 2017 Most Wickets/Purple Cap: Leading Wicket-Takers in IPL 10

IPL 2017 Most Wickets/Purple Cap: The Indian Premier League (IPL) praise the bowler who takes most wickets with The Purple Cap. It is same like the batsmen who scores highest runs in the season get  Orange Cap. The Purple Cap is circulated to different bowlers who sits top of the highest wicket takers list throughout the tournament. Two players who took hattrick this season are Andrew Tye and Samuel Badree-have. Bhuvneshwar Kumar of SRH is currently leading the table. (Updated: 27 April)

In the IPL 10, the spinners have shown outstanding performance with a ball. Afghanistan’s Rashid Khan whose dream come true when picked by Hyderabad in the auction for INR 4 crores, has taken 5 wickets in two matches so far. The No. 1 T20I and ODI bowler, Imran Tahir might top the IPL 20leadinging Wicket-Takers list with 6 wickets so far. He currently holds the purple cap.

Delhi’s skipper and former Indian bowler Zaheer is at No. 3 with 5 wickets in two matches. The hunger for wickets is increasing of him as he gets older. Bhuvneshwar Kumar who was the Purple Cap holder of IPL 2015 is at No. 4 with two wickets.

The IPL 10 purple cap is expected to juggle as tournament move further but it will be interesting who hold the cap till the final match which is scheduled to take place on 21 May 2017.

Lasith Malinga is the all-time most wicket-taker bowler in IPL while Pakistan’s Sohail Tanveer who took 6 wickets giving 14 runs in the first season of IPL still remains the best bowling figures.
