Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) will take on Mumbai Indians in the 12th match of the IPL 2017 at the M.Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bengaluru on Friday, 14 April. This match will be special for the RCB fans as they could expect the return of their captain Virat Kohli against Mumbai. If Virat decided to play in this match as the captain, the whole moral of the team would be different that what we have seen so far in the competition.
RCB have performed below par in their previous matches this season. They would love to bring their journey on track and what could be the better way to do so that beating one of the strongest teams in the IPL.
On the other hand, Mumbai Indians have found the great form that they have been looking for. They have won their last two matches. The last win against the defending champions must have boosted their confidence a lot and they would love to continue their journey.
Mumbai Indians came back brilliantly in this year’s IPL after they were beaten comprehensively in the first match of the competition. They have performed well in all the department of the game. But, there are some issues that they need to work on before playing RCB in their home ground. They need to figure out the right combination for their side.
The form of Rohit Sharma and Josh Buttler would also an area of concern for the Mumbai side. In this match also their batting lineup will depend largely on the likes of Parthiv Patel, Josh Buttler, Rohit Sharma, Nitish Rana, Pollard. Nitish Rana has impressed a lot in last two games with his bat alongside Hardik Pandya. The bowling department looks very strong. In this match also Malinga will lead the attack alongside Harbhajan Singh, Kunal Pandya, Bhumrah.
On the other hand, story id not good for RCB so far in the IPL. They have failed to perform well in any of the three departments of the game. The side that had the best batsman in the IPL have failed to put a huge total on the board. Now, with Kohli coming back RCb might get back to the team that it was in the last edition.
In the bowling department also team looks very weak. They lack quality bowlers on the side. In this match also the batting lineup will depend on the likes of Gayle, Watson, Jadhav. The bowling attack will depend upon Tymal Mills, Chahal, Watson. The team needs to perform well as a unit if they want to stop the winning run of Mumbai Indians.
RCB Vs MI Match Prediction, IPL 2017:
Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) will have the home advantage but current form Mumbai Indians makes them favourites to win the match.
