The Eredivisie Dutch Champion gets the Dutch national championship Match. Dutch Giants AFC Ajax has won most titles in the History of Eredivisie League with 24 domestic leagues and 33 national titles. However, PSV Eindhoven comes next in the title tally with 18 domestic trophies and 23 National tournaments won. While Feyenoord who is the only Dutch team to win most Uefa European trophies having won 9 Club trophies in Netherlands and 14 trophies in International Football tournaments.

After 1965, AFC Ajax, PSV Eindhoven and Feyenoord have won titles ever year. Except for missing out the Title opportunity in the year 1981 and 2009 as these titles went to AZ and FC Twente won the 2010 title. However, Ajax, PSV Eindhoven and Feyenoord are known as the “Three Dutch Giants” of the  Eredivisie football league.

They are the only ones in their current forms to have appeared in every edition of the Eredivisie since its formation. While the two relegated teams from the previous season are FC Utrecht, is the product of a 1970 and VV DOS,who unfortunately got relegated out of the Eredivisie League.
