McAuley started all four games for Northern Ireland in Euro 2016, recording one goal on three shots (two on target) The 36-year-old centre-back was an Asset for the club, though, not the very productive fantasy player.

He finished the season with one goal, one own goal, 10 clean sheets, 46 tackles and four yellow and one red cards in 34 Premier League starts. However, I would suggest going fo McAuley as a Bench warmer in your Fpl squad. 6/10 rating

7 Danny Rose £6.0 (Tottenham Hotspurs)

Danny Rose finished the 2014-15 premier league season with one goal, three assists, seven yellow cards and eight clean sheets in 24 Premier League starts. The young Center back brings great pace in the defence and is a very key tackler in the Spurs side. With next 5 fixture of Spurs as Everton, Crystal Palace, Liverpool, Stoke and Sunderland. 6 Wes Morgan £5.0 (Leicester city)

During the pre-season friendly match between Leicester City and Werder Bremen at The King Power Stadium on August 9, 2014, in Leicester, England. Wes Morgan has been the Wall the Leicester defence and an indispensable leader of their incredible campaign last season, he hasn’t been much of a fantasy force outside clean sheets.

The 32-year-old centre-back scored two goals, 15 clean sheets and 51 tackles while starting in all 38 Premier League matches. With First Five Fixtures of Leicester city as Hull city, Arsenal, Swansea, Liverpool and Burnley, It surely looks like consecutive clean sheet matches for the foxes.8/10 rating.

5 Branislav Ivanovic £6.0 ( Chelsea)

Ivanovic the Chelsea’s Wall had a poor form to begin the 2014-15 season, and just as he began to round into form, his fantasy value took a large hit as he moved to centre-back to finish out the season. It is unclear just how Ivanovic will be deployed under new manager Antonio Conte, but he seems unlikely to change his defensive role for the club.

Chelsea does have Easiest of the fixtures to start the season as they face West ham, Watford, Burnley, Swansea and Liverpool so I would surely recommend you to go for Ivanovic in your Fpl Playing XI. 9/10 Rating

The Belgium star Defender had a Great season with Spurs holding 13 clean sheets, 2 Assist and 4 goals in 38 appearances. Alderweireld’s Defensive Work rate has been quite exceptional in the premier league campaign for spurs and has the most number of interceptions which shows the potential of this play. Buy this Belgium Giant in your Fpl squad and is highly recommended by me in my Fantasy Premier League Tips 2016-17. Rating 10/10.

1 Héctor Bellerín £6.5 ( Arsenal )

Héctor Bellerín -Fantasy Premier League 2016-17 tips for top defenders

The most Successful Defender of the Premier league Héctor Bellerín had a rocking season with the Gunners, though, he lies further down the pecking order on defence and wouldn’t boast a high fantasy upside off the bench.

The 21-year-old defender finished last campaign with one goal, five assists and 18 clean sheets in 36 Premier League starts. Maximum clean sheets by any Defender in the premier league.

Though he won’t start the Arsenal squad in first few games Bellerín is like the best stock to purchase in the stock market as his FPL price would further rise after the making in Arsenal playing XI. Rating 10/10.
