The name of the team Chennaiyin FC means Chennai’s Football Team. It has a traditional logo which has significant meaning in the Tamil Culture. Chennaiyin FC’s logo is the Dhristi Bommai, a symbol of chasing negativity and absorbing positivity. The team’s Home Jersey is of catchy Dark Blue Color and the Away jersey is of pure white color. Chennaiyin FC has signed a New Kit deal with Puma for the 2016 Season.

Elano was the Top Scorer of the opening ISL Season with 8 Goals in 11 appearances the second season didn’t turn out to be that hit for Elano scoring only 4 Goals in 15 appearances. The Brazillian won’t be available for Chennaiyin FC this season as he is already tied with Serie A side Santos in a short term contract.

Former Manchester United and Arsenal Defender the French international Mikael Silvestre and ex-Lazio and Former Milan Centre back Italian international Alessandro Nesta was the part of the Chennaiyin side in 2014-15 however due to health issues Nesta was not able to continue. Former Liverpool Left-back John Arne Riise joined Chennaiyin FC from Delhi Dynamos in the 2015-16 season.

Chennaiyin FC will play their Home games at 40,000 Capacity stadium the Marina Arena also known as the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium. The Stadium hosted a Test series way back in the 1950’s and now is used for a purpose of Functions and Concert shows. It appears to be a home ground for Chennaiyin FC every season.
