Ronaldo Becomes Highest Paid Player as Contract Extends till 2021

After a severe knee ligament injury in the 2016 Euro Cup finals, the Portugues star returns in the La Liga league back in action for the Los Blanco’s. However, after the Comeback it has been 5 games goalless for the Real Madrid winger and a 3-0 win over Leganes past week was also without any Ronaldo goal. Good news for Cristiano Ronaldo fans across the World is that the Portuguese Legend has decided to retire from the Santiago Bernabeu itself.

Recently, Ronaldo signed a 5-year extension contract  with Real Madrid which is ending in June 2021 revealed by the Real Madrid president Florentino Perez in the presidential box at the Santiago Bernabeu stadium as on 7th November 2016. Thus, Cristiano Ronaldo becomes highest paid player for Real Madrid Club.

With this, the 31-year-old key man joins Tony Kroos, Gareth Bale and Luka Modric as being the permanent Los Blancos members for the coming years. Also, Ronaldo becomes Highest paid player while his Contract extension till 2021 after his old contract expires on 2018.

Ronaldo moved to Real Madrid in 2009 with a World Record transfer signing and scored 371 goals in 360 appearances for Real Madrid being played Eight La Liga leagues for the whites so far. Cristiano Ronaldo has always been a sensation and a major contributor at the Santiago Bernabeu and Real Madrid.

Although it was the Wales International Gareth bale with his 6 Year contract extension opted to stay with Los Blancos till 2022 as Real Madrid’s highest paid player. Earning around £600,000 a week which is approximately £350,000 after tax whereas Ronaldo was the second-highest Madrid earner getting paid £288,000 per week.

However, the new figures are not Revealed yet but sources strongly believe that Cristiano Ronaldo will be the highest paid player for Real Madrid after his recent contract extension.

“I am happy that he can renew and finish with this white shirt like I did a long time ago,” quoted the Real Madrid Head coach Zinedine Zidane.
