Premier League runners-up Tottenham Hotspur will now wear Nike kits from the upcoming season and as per report the deal worth £30million ($38.9 million, 34 million euros) per season. Ever since Mauricio Pochettino took over as the ‘head coach’ of Tottenham Hotspur the white part of North London have been noisier and rightly show.
Tottenham Hotspur under the Argentine has turned the tables over Arsenal over the past 3 years. Twice finishing second in the Premier League is no less an achievement and what’s more, he did that in two consecutive years. With the bragging rights now with them, they are now making some right noises in the advertisement world as well.
The club confirmed that they have agreed to a multi-year deal with sports giant NIKE. NIKE would now pay £30 million a year to the club so that the likes of Harry Kane, Delle Alle and Eric Dier wear their jersey.
This deal ends the association of Under Armor with the club, it was Under Armor jersey that Tottenham players dawned for the previous three seasons. Now NIKE has edged past ADIDAS in terms of top teams it sponsors in the cash-rich Premier League. NIKE now sponsors of top three teams in the Premier League.
With their new bigger stadium under construction and the team doing exceedingly well on the field, these are days for the Hotspur fans and the team.
