£21 Million bid and Sporting Lisbon not Convinced
According to Portuguese newspaper A, Bola West Bromwich Albion is ready to place another bid for Sporting Lisbon striker Islam Slimani. The baggies made an early bid of € 21 m and would Re-bid again with a new price tag. Slimani is an asset for the Portuguese Club with his statistics, Records, and team chemistry that he has to build up.
Slimani scored 32 goals in all competitions for both Sporting Lisbon and his national side; in 107 games for Sporting, Slimani has banged in 56 goals in three years.
WBA are keen for signing him as the Transfer window would close down in the next 2 week hence they would likely Re-submit a New bid of € 25 m to try to sign the Algerian international. Slimani was the part of Algeria’s squad at the 2014 FIFA World Cup, where he finished as the team’s joint top scorer with two goals.
Slimani is an impressive Center Forward with counter-attacking abilities and is a composed natural striker who would Fit in the West Brom Squad.
Why Islam Salami?
Salami plays for the Portuguese league for Sporting Lisbon as a key Striker. The 28 year Algerian is not watched by many of the Clubs and his style of playing would be Unseen in the Premier league world hence would be difficult to judge him in the start. However, he holds a Great dribbling ability as well with his Fast paced feet right Up- Front.
As the Premier league team, WBA Already has 3 quality strikers in their side but they lack the exceptional pace which Slimani may provide to the baggies. Salomón Rondón has been added to Barcelona’s striker shortlist along with AC Milan’s Carlos Bacca and Valencia’s Paco Alcacer. Saido Berahino and Rickie Lambert are the only strikers for West Brom as Islam Slimani could be played as a super sub in his early arrival to the club and can also be included in the playing XI by Tony Pulis later on.
