Asian Hockey Champions Trophy 2016 Schedule & Fixtures

Asian Hockey Federation revealed the Men’s Asian Hockey Champions Trophy 2016 schedule and match fixtures table. The 4th edition of this hockey tournament is organized after two years gap which is scheduled to kick start from 20th October and will end on 30th October 2016. The tournament is host by Malaysia and all the matches will be played in Doha Kuantan, Malaysia. The Men’s Asian Hockey Champions Trophy 2016 will run in the round-robin format where top six Asian team teams will battle for the title.

However, Pakistan is the defending champions of 2016 Asian Men’s Hockey Champions Trophy. “Men In Green” dominated Asian Hockey Championship tournament from last two years and remain unbeaten in the tournament so far. The total 20 matches are going to play in the tournament. This is going to be interesting to see which teams will make it to the finals. As per Men’s Asian Hockey Champions Trophy 2016 schedule, the first match is between Malaysia and Pakistan while in the second match India will take on Japan on 20 October 2016. There will be total 20 matches to be played in the tournament. The final match of the Men’s Asian Hockey Champions 2016 is on 30 October 2016.

In the Asian Hockey Championship, 2016 total six teams are participating Including India, Pakistan, China, Japan, Malaysia, Oman & South Korea. Whereas, Malaysia team will be getting home crowd support because this year’s Asian Hockey Championship going to happen in Malaysia only. However, Pakistan hockey team will be defending their title in this edition.

Men’s Asian Hockey Champions Past Winners

Whereas, India team won the first edition of the tournament against Pakistan in 2011. However, After that two consecutive years, Pakistan lifted the Asian Hockey Championship cup twice in a row at 2012 and 2013.
