India ends Sultan Azlan Shah Cup on a disappointing note, losing 4-0 to Australia in the final to finish second. Two goals each from Thomas Craig and Matt Rhodes gave Australia the win.

The 25th edition of Sultan Azlan Shah Cup 2016 featured total seven teams this year instead of usual six teams. Japan, India, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Pakistan, and hosts Malaysia are the seven participating teams.

The tournament organizers were wanted eight teams to take part to celebrate the silver jubilee of Sultan Azlan Shah Cup but due to Olympics preparations, top teams like Germany and Netherlands didn’t take part.
