India vs Iran Kabaddi World Cup 2016 Final Highlights – India won the 2016 Kabaddi World Cup final against strong Iran in a very exciting match. India beat Iran in the thrilling contest with scoreline 38-29 and game went until last minute. Men in Blue was struggling in the first half and was behind Iran but India was unstoppable in the second half against Iran in the Kabaddi World Cup final. Kabaddi has emerged as on of the fastest growing sports in the world and India truly enjoyed the tournament through three weeks. The final of Kabaddi World Cup 2016 was an exciting match where both teams were looking strong and trading punches like boxing. India was leading the match in first 3rd minute with 2-0 but Meraj Sheykh open the points tally for the Iran and they leveled the game at 2-2 in the fourth minute.
After fifth mintue, Iran shown some amazing defense and lead the match 5-4 in the eighth minute. Both teams were looking strong and fought hard for single point. Indian captain Anup Kumar rallied his team with a bonus point to level the score at 6-6.
Iran’s Meraj Sheykh was looking unstopable and kept scoring for the team. He was taking points on his will and reduced India to just three player as Iran led 9-7 in the 13th minute. India faced their first all out of the match in the 19th minute and Iran was leading 16-12. The Iran dominated the first half of the match and it dented India’s chances.
India come back strong in the 2nd half as Ajay Thakur scored two points in the 25th minute and sent Fazel Atrachali and Meraj Sheykh to the bench. After that India played well in further and was leading the match with 34-24 in the 37th minut. Meraj Sheykh tried hard to come back in the game but team was far away from them in the 39th minute as India led 35-27. India won the Kabaddi World Cup 2016 final against Iran with 37-30 and become the world champions for the third time.
