The 9th round of MotoGP 2017, GoPro Motorrad Grand Prix Deutschland will take place in Germany from 30 June to 2nd July 2017. German MotoGP will start with Friday’s FP1 while Sachsenring GP qualifying race will start on Saturday, 1st July 2017. Valentino Rossi won an exciting Dutch MotoGP which is also his first victory of the 2017 season. After this win, Rossi will look to overtake standings leader Andrea Dovizioso in the table at the German MotoGP while Dovizioso will look to increase his lead over Maverick Viñales and Valentino Rossi.

About Sachsenring, Hohenstein-Ernstthal Circuit
The Sachsenring racing circuit is located in Hohenstein-Ernstthal in Saxony, Germany. The circuit is an 8.7 km layout on public roads, running also through the village of Hohenstein-Ernstthal itself. Sachsenring first hosted MotoGP in 1998 and many improvements have taken place since then, including a drastic layout enhancement in 2001. The circuit has many tight corners which make it one of the slower tracks on the MotoGP calendar.

Marc Marquez won a thrilling German MotoGP race at Sachsenring. He played perfect gamble to move from wet to slick tyres to win German Grand Prix and extend his MotoGP championship lead in the table.
LCR Honda’s Cal Crutchlow finished 2nd while Ducati’s Andrea Dovizioso finished third. He won the MotoGP race after 6 years. The race was a disaster for the both Yamahas – Valentino Rossi who finished eighth and Jorge Lorenzo who finished 15th.
