MotoGP Grand Prix of Germany 2017 Highlights & Results

Marc Marquez of Honda won the MotoGP Grand Prix of Germany 2017 ahead of Folger. German MotoGP 2017 Highlights

After the race Pedrosa said, “Today we had a good chance. I started well. I had a good feeling there, especially with the tyres. Then after 2 laps I started to have high temperatures in the tyres. I tried to manage it but I had too much spin on the left side. Another podium is good for the championship.”

The 9th round of MotoGP 2017, GoPro Motorrad Grand Prix Deutschland will take place in Germany from 30 June to 2nd July 2017.  German MotoGP will start with Friday’s FP1 while Sachsenring GP qualifying race will start on Saturday, 1st July 2017. The big Sunday race will start with warm-up race followed by MotoGP race.The live streaming can be found at the BT Sport website in the UK.

Valentino Rossi won an exciting Dutch MotoGP which is also his first victory of the 2017 season. After this win, Rossi will look to overtake standings leader Andrea Dovizioso in the table at the German MotoGP while Dovizioso will look to increase his lead over Maverick Viñales and Valentino Rossi.

Sachsenring Germany

The Sachsenring racing circuit is located in Hohenstein-Ernstthal in Saxony, Germany. The circuit is an 8.7 km layout on public roads, running also through the village of Hohenstein-Ernstthal itself. Sachsenring first hosted MotoGP in 1998 and many improvements have taken place since then, including a drastic layout enhancement in 2001. The circuit has many tight corners which make it one of the slower tracks on the MotoGP calendar.

Marc Marquez won a thrilling German MotoGP race at Sachsenring. He played perfect gamble to move from wet to slick tyres to win German Grand Prix and extend his MotoGP championship lead in the table.

LCR Honda’s Cal Crutchlow finished 2nd while Ducati’s Andrea Dovizioso finished third. He won the MotoGP race after 6 years. The race was a disaster for the both Yamahas – Valentino Rossi who finished eighth and Jorge Lorenzo who finished 15th.
