Italian MotoGP 2017 Highlights & Race Results

The sixth MotoGP Grand Prix of 2017 season, Gran Premio d’Italia Oakley to be held on 4th June 2017. The Italian MotoGP 2017 to be held at the Mugello Circuit, Scarperia. Rossi holds the very good record at the Italian MotoGP and has won seven consecutive races at Mugello between 2002 and 2008. This will be an important race for Valentino to reduce gap. Yamaha’s Maverick Viñales leading the MotoGP standings as he won last race at France. He will look to extend his lead at the top at the Italian Grand Prix in Mugello. Honda’s Dani Pedrosa is at second place with 68 points followed by Italian legend Valentino Rossi who is 23 points behind his Yamaha team-mate.

Jorge Lorenzo won the Italian MotoGP 2016 just before Marc Marquez in the very interesting race. Both the riders swapped places several times on the final lap and Lorenzo cross the finish line seconds before Marquez.  Valentino Rossi went out of the race due to engine failure. Ducati’s Andrea Iannone finished third after a bad start. He tried hard to recover from the bad start and in that process  he set the new all-time top speed record. Fellow home hero Valentino Rossi was shadowing Lorenzo for the lead, until a massive engine failure.
