The biggest sports event of the year, 2016 Rio Olympics will start today, 5th August and every Indian are waiting for it. India, this time, send more than 100 athletes for the Olympics. After many controversies and noise, Rio Olympics 2016 is finally ready to take off with the opening ceremony.

India’s journey of Rio Olympics 2016 will begin today, 5th August 2016 with the first phase of Archery.

Note: There will be no live tv coverage of the archery first rounds.

The Olympics Games will be officially declared open with the opening ceremony in Rio de Janeiro’s Maracana Stadium. The Ceremony starts at 8 PM Local Time on 5th August, today. And Indian viewers can watch it at 4.30 AM (August 6, Saturday) because Indian time is 8 hours and 30 minutes ahead of Brazil time. The opening ceremony will run for over 4 hours.

Star Sports network channels – Star Sports 1, 2, 3 & 4 will broadcast the Opening Ceremony as well as the entire tournament in India.
