Roger Federer has beaten Nick Kyrgios by 7-6 (11-9) 6-7 (9-11) 7-6 (7-5) in the semi-finals. It took him three hours, 11 minutes to beat Nick and set up a clash against great rival Rafael Nadal in the decider. On the other hand, Nadal beat Italian Fabio Fognini by 6-1 7-5.

In the final Federer will have the slight edge over his opponent and arch rival Nadal as he has won the last time they met in the final earlier this season to win the 18th career grand slam. Nadal would not have forgotten that match and would want to settle the score by winning this match.

If we look at the history of this competition then Federer has won the Miami open not once bu twice. On the other hand, Nadal has failed to get his hand on the trophy. This will act as the extra motivation of Nadal as he would want to add this trophy to his kitty this time.

Before the match between Federer and Nick, Nadal said that it does not matter who win the match and whom he will face as he will play the final with the same intensity regardless of the opponent. But, this might not be true when Federer, one of the greats of the game, will be his opponent. He will have to up his level and give everything in the match to get past player like Federer.

Federer said about winning the last three clash against Nadal,”It’s a nice feeling to win the last three, I can tell you that.” He also said,”But most importantly, I won in Australia. That was big for me. On the comeback, I look back at that and think that was one of the coolest things I ever experienced in my career.”

It’s time for “Fedal” again. No matter what is the result or who will walk out as the Champion we could expect a great fight between the players. As a spectator, you could not expect any better final than this.
